What is the IPCC and what does the 2018 special report mean for us?
The report describes the impacts of global warming of 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels and related global greenhouse gas emission pathways, in the context of strengthening the global response to the threat of climate change, sustainable development, and efforts to eradicate poverty.
The problems get a LOT worse at 2°C, and some are predicting an increase of 4°C, which will represent an extinction-level event that will wipe out at least 7 billion humans.
